Job Finding Club
In a positive environment, refine and practice the job search skills necessary to re-enter the workforce as fast as possible. We offer a practical, interactive three-week program which provides job seekers with up-to-date, proven tools and resources to find a job.

Goals

Within the three week program, participants will:
  • Gain information about the current job market as well as develop self-marketing tools such as resumes, profile cards and cover letters
  • Access the hidden job market
  • Develop effective networking and telephone skills
  • Prepare, develop and practice interview strategies
  • Be videotaped in a simulated job interview and receive immediate, constructive feedback
  • Actively search for employment utilizing the Club's facilities
  • Work with professional job search coaches
Eligibility Requirements
  • Current recipient of Employment Insurance (E.I.) benefits
  • Recipient of E.I. benefits in the past three (3) years
  • Recipient of maternity/parental benefits in the past five (5) years
