This 10-day program is for new Canadians who are: Job Search
  • Landed immigrants or convention refugees
  • Canadian residents for less than three years
  • Able to speak and understand English
  • Unemployed and looking for work, and
  • Willing to transfer job skills
Job Search  
Will help job seekers learn:
  • to navigate Canada's job market
  • Canadian business etiquette
  • networking techniques that achieve results
  • how to contact employers with confidence
  • to write resumes, cover and thank you letters and references
  • how to use the telephone effectively
  • skills for being interviewed
  • the advantages of Individual support and referrals to potential employers

New Knowledge – New Steps – for Newcomers

This is a 9-week program designed for newcomers.  New Knowledge
It helps clients to:
  • find their futures in Canada
  • improve English language proficiency
  • develop computer and job search skills
and gain knowledge in:
  • communicating effectively
  • preparing for job search
  • building Canadian contacts
  • overcoming cultural and social barriers
